Once docked we had to stay onboard ship for a couple of hours before disembarking. "What a great time we had" and sure we would do it again.

"Yes it's true, most people party all night on these cruises. We didn't miss out, we probably went to bed just a little earlier so we could get up some mornings to absorb our 'world'.
A few hours in the heart of Vanuatu allowed me to capture some locals in their environment. As you can see they represent happy and colourful people. Click on single photos for a larger view. Click on single photos for a larger view. We got a few hours ashore in Vanuatu. After a brief island tour we were dropped off in the town where we had a couple of hours to wander and explore. Of course I was in my 'prime' in the street with the camera. Colourful and friendly people and tattered buildings. What a great little place to rummage around in. This is where I took most photos so I have posted a few ABOVE, to try and portray the 'feel' of the place.
"Good morning", its' the 6am fitness class instructors jumping for joy since no-one turned up for the early morning fitness program. Best time to be up to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mornings. The staff asked me if I could take a photo of them for their newsletter and website. Here is one of the photos. Gorgeous morning, look at the sky - perfect.
We were really happy to finally arrive into our first port stop, Noumea. Nearly didn't get here as their was an 'emergency call' for medical assistance for a sick passenger. The boat was held up and re-routed slightly until the passenger was air lifted off the boat.
01 April 2012: Leaving the shores of Brisbane for a 7 day South Pacific Cruise. You know the itinerary before you go, but you really don't really know what may happen over the next week, do you? It's all an adventure waiting to happen. All we know at this stage is "it's a nice clear day as we leave".
